WORD of encouragement

 Hebrews  12:2

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

INTERPRETATION

Greatness is a function of one's ability to overcome challenges, progressively.

The reality of "challenges" isn't new, as a matter of fact, there's no fulfilled person living today, who hasn't been heavily challenged at one point or the other.

More real to you, should be the drive on your inside, that keeps you crusing through challenges by the Power of the Holy Spirit, because that CHALLENGE came to make a CHAMPION out of you.

Therefore, enjoy the Process!

Why should the Church be blamed for the woes of a Nation?

I've something burning so strong in my heart, and I need to share it with us.

I'll try to communicate properly, with the hope that we'll learn something new.

First of all, let me define the church;
The church of Jesus Christ, is a foundation that was Spiritually instituted by God, (after the resurrection of Christ and commensurate release of the Holy Spirit), to nurture, sustain and equip believers, for a victorious earthly existence and in turn, prepare them for heaven at last.

Every born again Christian, is a part of the church of Jesus Christ!
Why should you insult or advance anything that undermines this Great Faith you're a part of?

Yes, the church has a definite supernatural role to play in reforming Nations, but at the same time, the church isn't responsible when a Nation fails to maximize her potentials.

Nations and systems fail because of bad governments and not because of churches.
If government haven't invested so much in education, enough to produce professionals at different levels, how should the church be blamed for that?
If a government do not have the intellectual infrastructure to develop vaccines and other health facilities for the benefit of her citizenry, how should the church be blamed?

From church history, we know that since the church was instituted, she has stopped at nothing, to ensure she adds value to society; right from the days of Peter the Apostle, until today.
Even before the church formally commenced, while Christ was on earth, He continuously added value to society, to the point he laid down His life for the world.
Now, can Jesus Christ be blamed for the ungodly nature of the people of Israel in those days?
Of course not.
Or would it be right to say, why was the educational index of students in Israel too low, during the time of Christ?
No it wouldn't.
Jesus wasn't leading the government empire of Israel, the Roman government was!

Yes in Nigeria and across the Nations of the world, we're Blessed to have globally successful churches of generational renouwn, as well as preachers, but the failure of Nigeria and those countries have nothing to do with neither the churches or the preachers.
It's wrong therefore, to advance any school of thought, that insults the church and undermines the anointing of the Holy Spirit; simply because Nigeria or any other Nation is a failed State.

Be warned precious people, the church is a rock of offence.
Defaming the church and preachers is doing that to Christ Himself, because He's the Head of the church.
And you'll answer to Him afterwards.

1 Peter  2:8
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Ephesians  1:
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Matthew  21:44
And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

The stone being referred to in the scripture above, is Jesus Christ, the Head of the church.

Yes churches are Blessed, pastors as well; that has nothing to do with why a country is failing.
Don't use your tongue to slay the church community because of how angry you're about the state of your Nation.

If you're tired of a government's administration, then vote them out, and leave the church out if it!

What role has any church or pastor played in the death of Christians in Northern Nigeria and around the world?
What role has the church or any pastor played in the state of the economy?
What role has the church or any pastor played in the misappropriation of funds and corruption we see every day?
None!!!

We're in a generation with little or no respect for the church!
Bad enough you find even born again Christians dragging the name of the church.
This is terrible and hypocritical!
Don't stay in any gathering where the church is defamed or lambasted, no matter what!
If there's anything you don't understand, keep quiet about it!
Respect and Honour Jesus Christ, (the Head of the church), enough, never to raise your voice against the church in any way; publicly or privately not even indirectly.

Like the Bible admonishes, let us be the light in our various spheres of life.
Matthew  5:
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

If not for the church of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, this world would've been long destroyed!
So rather than insult the church, the least you can do is pray for her and her leaders at different levels.

Beyond that, you're also a part of the church, because Christ (the head of the church) lives in you; so BE THE CHANGE THE CHURCH NEEDS!

What you've been doing as a Christian, since the year started, how is it adding to your Nation?
Instead of blaming church leaders flying private jets and living good lives (who by the way, are legitimately BLESSED by God), make contributions to your Nation where you're!

When everything is said and done, what will count is how much of the church you have in you, because after death, there's no scientist, professional, or businessman.

Make the most of your life by becoming the best you ever can.
Then contribute to the advancement of the church of Jesus Christ, and finally, when you're up there in your field of endeavour, develop your Nation the best you can.

Do you part!
Stop the blame game!!
Respect and Honour Jesus Christ enough to love and advance His Church!!!

No More by WORKS

Since salvation after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christianity has evolved to a dimension that many believers are still yet to understand.
In the old testament, before the coming of Christ, mankind was judged by what he did; in those days, people were justified based on what there did or did not do.
But since after the resurrection, everything changed; Christianity is no longer by our works.
Nobody in the old testament could please God a hundred percent.
Since the fall of man, God's standard for mankind was completely altered.

For instance, we were not supposed to die in the first place, Adam was created to live for all eternity, but after his fall, he lost access to the tree of life, and everything collapsed.
From that point till today, things haven't been the same.

Now let me draw a line; the coming of Christ was to restore mankind back to what Adam lost.
Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil; which is sin, something that got incorporated into the human race because of Adam's disobedience.
1 John  3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus Christ came as a second Adam, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to correct the mistakes of the first Adam
1 Corinthians  15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were not justified by their works, as a matter of scriptural truth, there wasn't any stipulated template that justified and qualified them children of God.
For as long as he maintained his God status by staying away from the tree of death, everything was going to be well.
Genesis  2:
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

God the Almighty, didn't have to write laws for Adam to follow, because everything he did in the garden pleased God.
Adam carried the very nature of God, and for as long as he stayed away from the tree of death, all he did was perfect in God's sight.

But something happened after a while; Eve was deceived into eating from the tree God forbidden them to touch, unfortunately, Adam did same.
The moment Adam ate of that tree, the entire perfection of creation changed drastically.
Adam became a sinner, and everything he did afterwards was unpleasing to God. He automatically activated what I call "the nature of sin", that has existed trans-generationally ever since.

That nature of sin still exists today; everyone born of a woman carries same.
Romans  5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Because of Adam, the whole human race became people of a sinful nature, and as a result, everything we do in that nature never pleases God.
It was after the fall that God started bringing laws and commandments.
In Eden, Adam didn't need any of that.

But the death a resurrection of Jesus Christ changed everything.
His resurrection brought salvation!

What then is Salvation?
Salvation was God's way of connecting back the human race to His original plan at creation.
Notice that after Adam, and before Jesus Christ came, thousands of years went by, with different people trying to please God by their works, but to know avail.
This was because, the nature of sin was already on all mankind.
Now, after Christ resurrected, the original order of things supernatural came into effect by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Just like in Eden, our tree of life today is Jesus Christ, and for as long as we accept Him into our lives, and believe in Him, we become saved by our Faith in Christ, through Grace.
We become righteous in God's sight because of Him.
This makes us to be exactly like how Adam was before the fall.

By receiving Jesus Christ into your life, and allowing Him be Lord over your life, you become a citizen of heaven, with same privileges Adam had in Eden.
Because of Jesus Christ, all you do now pleases God, you've inbuilt in you the capacity to make God happy, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
It's no more by the works of the law; religion profits nothing, but revelation.
Our access to revelation is our ticket to living a life pleasing to God.

Romans  2:
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

You can begin this righteousness lifestyle today.

It's very simple, and so special because we're still at the beginning of a new year.

You can start building a more meaningful life, one that will please God all the days of your life.

Say this prayer of Faith;

Lord Jesus

I'm a Sinner

Forgive me my sins

Wash me with your Precious Blood

I believe you died

And on the third day rose

That I might be justified

Thank you Father

For saving me

Amen!

Congratulations!!!
